✔️ Easy customization ✔️ Better for your fingers ✔️ Reduces vibration ✔️ Longer handholding | 🛑 None |
As a long time professional photographer, there’s 3 things I usually add to any camera. Since Fuji’s grips are really good, that leaves 2 must-have Fujifilm accessories everyone must own: A Soft release and a thumbgrip.
The soft releases screws on top of your shutter release button and requires less distance/travel for your fingers to take a shot. Most Fujis have the screw tread, just look at yours and see if there’s a place to screw something on your shutter release button.
First of all the soft releases allow you to customize without breaking the camera’s beauty (Stickers, REALLY?). But if you want practical reasons, this reduces the amount of micro-vibrations when you click the shutter release and in turn that allows you to shoot at much slower shutter speeds and not run the risk of a blurry image.
Plus these do not apply stress to your fingers, so they will not hurt when you shoot. If you look at your Fuji right now and try to shoot you will realize that your finger actually hits the surrounding area, and that is not good for your fingers. All threaded soft releases are compatible with Fuji so there’s plenty to chose from, even from rival brands because the screw size is the same.

✔️ Better grip ✔️ Transforms handling ✔️ Longer shutter speeds | 🛑 None |
A soft release and a thumbgrip are the two purchases I do for every camera. These two, small Fujifilm accessories radically transform the camera, and takes it from great to excellent. It’s because one of the most underrated aspects of cameras is not the handling.
Where do cameras live? Inside your hands. And if they feel right, you feel free to shoot. If it doesn’t feel right you know something is off and you can’t put your finger on it. Pun intended. With a thumbrest you never feel like you will drop the camera and it allows you to have a vice-like grip that is oh so satisfying.
The practical reason is that the secure grip allows you to hold the camera better, making you more steady when you take a shot so it allows you to handhold longer without running the risk of blurring the image. Each thumbgrip is model specific, so take the one for your specific Fuji.

✔️ Protects the camera ✔️ Still puts forth the style ✔️ Quick shooting ✔️ Allows you to carry on the hip | 🛑 Not complete portection |
One of the best Fujifilm accessories if you shoot street or reportage. Pictures don’t wait for you. If you are walking down the streets and something appears right in front of you, having your camera in a camera bag or having it ready is the difference between ecstasy or feeling sorry for yourself that you missed it.
There’s a place for camera bags, but when you are shooting these can be a hinderance more than anything. Enter half cases, cases that do not fully wrap the camera but allows it to be out and provide some protection.
With a half case you can carry your Fuji on your hip and just go with the flow, something appears and there is no bag to unzip, take the camera out. Nopes, simply point and shoot. The downside here is that thev camera is not really protected but if you shoot things that require you to be ready at any moment, check out half cases for your Fuji.

✔️ Much better than you think ✔️ 3 USB heads ✔️ Slim profile, pocket friendly ✔️ Never run out of power | 🛑 Not all Fujis are compatible |
One of the worse things that can happen to you when shooting is running out of juice. One of the best parts of modern cameras is the fact that they can be recharged by USB. Not all Fujis are recharcheable by USB but if yours can be, this is a must.
There’s no charger or cable to carry, just this will do and you can slip it in your pocket at have more juice whenever you need it. This Fujifilm accessory is better than you think, just by the fact there’s an AC plug built in, so it acts like a charger when you are at home or taking a break at a coffee shop.
When you are outside and in need of power, just use the buit-in usb cables and your camera will recharge. You can of course recharge your phone too if it’s down. While this is one of the best Fujifilm accessories you can get, don’t be surprised if you start using it regularly too.

✔️ Small yet powerful ✔️ Just needs 2xAAA batteries ✔️ Ultra simple ✔️ Manual dial | 🛑 No tilt, no swivel |
The Fuji EF-X20 is one of the best Fujifilm accessories you can get bar none. This is one of the best flashes too, period. No, it’s not for high end studio shots (but you could use it as a servant flash) and it doesn’t tilt or swivel.
But what it has is a particular look. If you like RAW looking street photography or street-style fashion photography, this is it. It can overpower the sun like no built-in flash can and it is small. So small it could fit in your pocket but there would be a bulge.
It’s really made and looks right at home one the rangefinder looking Fujis like the Xp-pro and its cousins but any Fuji with a flashshoe is compatible. It’s ultra simple and has Fuji TTL (automatic) built-in. The manual controls are simple, just push the dial until the flash power is adequate for your image.
It runs on two AAA batteries that you can get anywhere and can shoot 60-90 flashes at full power. More about Fujifilm flashes here.
6. Fuji M mount adapter
Transforms your Fuji into a Leica camera with one of the best Fujifilm accessories
Reasons to buy | Cons |

✔️ Best bodies for Leica M lenses ✔️ Great feeling with rangefinder line ✔️ Auto correct lenses in camera | 🛑 Crop factor |
Let’s not beat around the bush, the main inspiration for the Fuji cameras are the Leica cameras. With this adapter you can transform any Fuji X mount camera into a Leica M camera. If you have the ones that look like a rangefinder (like the X-pro and its cousins) the look is really complete.
Fujis are some of the best bodies you can use to shoot M lenses, not only because the shooting feeling is somewhat similar but mainly because of this adapter. You can shoot Leica M lenses and this will auto-correct them in camera.
The only issue here is one of sensor size, because the X cameras are APSC sensors, the crop factor is x1.5 so a 15mm lens will become a 22.5mm lens. But the quality of the images more then makes up for it. This allows you to feel like shooting a Leica without breaking the bank.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed this article about the best Fujifilm accessories. The default buy for Fujis are the thumb grip (also known as thumbrest) and the soft release. Normally that is where I also recommend a grip but Fujis have that down. Half-cases add some grips, and one of the best accessories to have in your pocket is the hybrid charger. Lastly if you get the M adapter your can transform your Fuji into a Leica-like camera that is hard to put down.
